Alpine Sports Websites

During my time at Uni I was involved with the Alpine Sports Club because they did cool things like snowboarding, and after the influence of alcohol had taken hold, a bit of extreme sledging.

After building a website to host the photos taken from the first holiday I went on with the club, I was asked me to put together an official homepage for the club to promote the club and it’s events.

Alpine Sports Club

This website went live around the start of the 2003/2004 academic year to promote the events and activities that the Alpine Sports Club were involved with.

The website was built in standards compliant HTML 4, and featured a full CMS system to allow new content to be posted to the website easily. There was also a new photo gallery script that allowed for admin users to upload new photos from events, trips and holidays.

Tignes 2003 Photo Gallery

This website was built after a club holiday in April 2003. It hosted all of the digital photos taken on the trip, categorised and organised by a custom PHP based image gallery script to generate thumbnails. The site was built using standards compliant HTML 4, but is unfortunately no longer online due to the demands of hosting 2000+ photos:
